Best Of Interop Judges Name AppDancer Networks’ AppDancer/FA as Award Winner in the Network Management Category at NetWorld+Interop 2002 Las Vegas

Roswell, Georgia, USA, May 8, 2002 – AppDancer/FA was named the Winner in the Network Management category of the Best of Interop Awards competition for NetWorld+Interop 2002 in Las Vegas. The Best of Interop awards, sponsored by CMP Media LLC’s Network Computing, InformationWeek and EE Times, were announced during a ceremony at this year’s event.

AppDancer/FA, the first application-centric network monitoring and analysis tool for the 21st century, was introduced in March 2002. AppDancer/FA redefines network analysis by combining network application monitoring (including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Oracle Server, HTTP, email, DNS, FTP, voice/multimedia); network device monitoring (routers, switches, gateways, and similar devices); and network data capture, monitoring and analysis into one easy-to-use software package. Designed for today’s convergent networks, AppDancer/FA recognizes and monitors all major audio and video protocols, including VoIP, plus traditional data protocols.

AppDancer/FA is currently released as an application running under Windows 2000 Professional and Server, Windows NT 4.0 SP6 Workstation and Server, and Windows XP. The software is web-enabled by design, and most screens may be viewed remotely from any standard web browser.

Network Flow Analysis is a unique advanced function of AppDancer/FA. Network Flows may be displayed at three distinct levels of the network –IP Flows, listing all major applications present on the network and their impact on the network, Application Flows, including detailed ladder diagrams of application logic, and Content Flows, re-creating the end user experience for all major applications.

The judges – award winning editors from CMP Media’s leading technology magazines, Network Computing, InformationWeek and EE Times – reviewed over 250 submissions overall, and determined that AppDancer/FA deserved the top honor based upon their rigorous evaluation.
